Per diem rules
The German per diem calculation uses statutory hour bands with a fixed overnight allowance. Select this rule via Per Diem Setup → Change Calculation Rule → Germany.
Hour bands

| Less than 8 hours | None |
| 8–23 hours | 14 EUR (partial day rate) |
| 24 hours or more | 28 EUR (full day rate) |
Mixed Germany + international days
When a day includes travel both within Germany and internationally, the international rate applies for that day.
Overnight allowance
A separate overnight allowance of 20 EUR applies when the employee stays overnight away from home. This is configured in Per Diem Setup under the Germany rate settings.
