Sending e-invoices from an Italian legal entity
For an Italian company, all invoices must be sent to the SdI for approval and, in case of a domestic customer, e-invoices will be sent by the SdI to the recipient.
Sending e-invoices to an Italian recipient
The user process for sending an e-invoice doesn't change from what's described in:
How to use ExFlow e-Invoicing
The only significant difference is that the record in ExFlow Document Integration / Outgoing documents is kept as "Sent" until the application response from the SdI is received. At that stage, the e-invoice is marked with a Document status and substatus that reflects the SdI response. This status is refreshed by the customer selecting the e-invoice record and clicking "Get status".
Recommended setup is to have the batch job ExFlow execute customer documents: ExFlow document integration / Periodic / Batches / Customer / ExFlow execute customer documents
User can see the status either in:
- ExFlow document integration / Common / Outgoing documents, or
- ExFlow document integration/ Workspaces / Document integration workspace
Sending e-invoices to a cross-border recipient
When sending an e-invoice to a customer that has been marked as "Cross-border", the user processes are two:
- Send the e-invoice to the SdI to get it cleared.
- Once the e-invoice is cleared, send the invoice to the recipient.
Get the cross border invoice cleared by SdI
Remember to set up as explained in Setting up the Italian legal entity.
Once the setup is done, proceed to post the invoice and send it normally to SdI via Pagero and update the status to see when it has been cleared.
Send the invoice to the recipient
When the invoice has been cleared, user can send the invoice by any way provided by its Dynamics 365 Finance capabilities.
Providing best in class AR Invoice Automation, user can configure ExFlow Document Integration to send automatically the cleared invoice using Peppol network when the SdI clearance response is received.
Send a cleared invoice using Peppol network
In order to send a cleared invoice as e-invoice through the Peppol network, a subscription to Peppol integration is required. See Connect to the subscription for the Peppol Service
Note that there might be associated cost to this subscription. Ask your SignIUp sales contact on how to contract it.
Setting it up: Open ExFlow document integration / Common / Customer
- Select the customer record for which you want to enable sending cleared invoices through Peppol.
- Click "Settings" and add a record:
- "Document type" = "Cleared invoice" (or credit note if required)
- "Export method" = Peppol.
- Complete the Profile, "Country code" and "Participant" to specify the Peppol data for the recipient.
- Select the format ER Configuration for the after clearance document desired.
- To setup the automated process: ExFlow document integration / Periodic / Batches / Send cross-border invoice.
This e-invoice will be handled as any other e-invoice and status and updates can be checked in the usual pages.
